The doorbell switch now activates the garage door opener and the light comes on when the door opens whole thing runs off the existing door bell transformer using repurposed 4 conductor telephone corded. The led lights are solid red while the garage doors are fully closed. To unlock your garage door opener push the lock button for 5 seconds. It s important to note that when the lock button is on your garage door opener will only work from the switch located by the door. Once you push this button the light on the garage door opener will flash twice.

Then once the garage doors are fully open the lights become solid green. It informs you of an issue by flashing the diagnostic led light a certain amount of times. I have 2 of these modified switches one by the front door and one by the rear allowing me to open and monitor the garage door from either spot. The remote control will not work.
